Explore the transformative benefits of SkinPen and EZ PRF, two innovative techniques that harness the power of microneedling and growth factors to enhance your skin’s texture, tone, and vitality. Elevate your beauty and experience radiant transformation without the need for invasive procedures or extended downtime.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling, a cornerstone of modern skincare, introduces controlled micro-injuries to stimulate your skin’s natural healing process. This process triggers collagen production, leading to improved texture, reduced scarring, and a youthful radiance. Our specialized technique includes not only using the SkinPen, but also EZ PRF during your treatment to ensure a tailored approach to address your unique skin concerns.
Benefits
Stimulates collagen and elastin production for youthful skin
Improves skin texture, tone, and elasticity
Reduces the appearance of scars and wrinkles
Minimally invasive procedure with brief recovery time
Customized treatments tailored to your skin's needs
How Does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling harnesses the power of tiny, precisely placed needles to create micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These controlled injuries prompt your skin’s healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. This results in smoother, more even skin texture and a reduction in the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and fine lines.

Introducing SkinPen
What Are the Differences Between PRF and SkinPen?
The “SkinPen” is the name of the device we use to microneedle, while EZ PRF is topically applied growth factors to the microneedling process. They work together synergistically to bring patients the utmost results with their skin. SkinPen focuses on stimulating collagen production and improving overall skin texture, while the EZ PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is topically applied and microneedled into the skin to enhance healing, rejuvenation, and cellular regeneration.
What Are the Differences Between PRF and PRP?
Chances are, if you’ve heard of EZ PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin), you may have also heard of PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). These are similar treatments, yet vastly different! PRP’s extraction process involves additives and chemicals to thin the blood (and patients have reported it’s a more painful treatment), while PRF is extracted in a completely natural way, without any additives. PRF’s preparation process results in a higher concentration of platelets, growth factors and stem cells during treatment. It also contains fibrin, a protein that helps support tissue repair and regeneration. Which is why we love PRF.
What Do the Studies Say About Microneedling and PRF?
“…four microneedling treatments, spaced four weeks apart, significantly improve lines, wrinkles, skin laxity and skin texture, 90 and 150 days after the first treatment. The treatment was well tolerated with minimal pain, discomfort, and downtime.”
Ablon G. (2018). Safety and Effectiveness of an Automated Microneedling Device in Improving the Signs of Aging Skin. The Journal of clinical and aesthetic dermatology, 11(8), 29–34.
“On average, patients rated their improvement between 60-80% better than before the treatment. Histologic examination was carried out and showed a considerable increase in collagen and elastin deposition at 6 months postoperatively. The epidermis demonstrated 40 percent thickening of stratum spinosum and normal rete ridges at 1 year postoperatively.”

“The increase in collagen and elastin in the skin can reach 400% after 6 months, with an increase in the thickness of the stratum granulosum occurring for up to 1 year.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure in which most patients will not experience pain. During the treatment, you may experience mild sensations like tingling or a slight pricking feeling but any discomfort you may experience is generally minimal and temporary. To enhance your comfort, we apply a topical numbing cream.
Many patients observe noticeable improvements in skin texture and tone shortly after each microneedling session. However, to achieve the most optimal results, we recommend multiple sessions over a period of time. The timeline for significant enhancements can vary, but most individuals experience the full benefits of microneedling in the weeks and months following a series of treatments, as the new collagen formation takes time to build!
Microneedling is considered a low-risk procedure with minimal side effects. Some individuals might encounter temporary redness, swelling, or minor skin sensitivity following treatment, but these side effects usually go away within a few days. For a smooth and comfortable recovery, we advise our patients to adhere to any post-treatment care instructions provided by our team.
Microneedling is different from other procedures because it stimulates the skin's innate healing process through the creation of micro-injuries. This unique approach triggers increased collagen and elastin production, essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. In contrast to certain other treatments, microneedling does not rely on chemical agents or harsh resurfacing methods.
Microneedling is generally safe for individuals with diverse skin types and tones. This treatment can be customized to target specific skin concerns and adapt to different skin characteristics. However, it's important to consult with us to determine if microneedling is right for you.
The results of microneedling can be long-lasting, but occasional maintenance may be necessary to sustain improvements over time. Collagen production persists post-treatment, contributing to ongoing enhancements in skin texture and tone. We recommend employing a proper skincare regimen and safeguarding your skin from sun damage can assist in extending the longevity of these results.
Microneedling is well-suited for adults of varying ages who seek to address specific skin concerns and enhance their complexion. However, the suitability of the treatment may depend on individual factors. It’s important to address concerns about microneedling during the consultation. We always take into account your skin's condition and your personal goals.
Microneedling can be seamlessly integrated with other skincare treatments and procedures to augment its efficacy or address supplementary skin concerns. We can develop a tailored treatment plan customized to your precise needs, which may involve a combination of treatments designed to deliver optimal results.
